In this video, I am going to conduct an interview of a Kashmiri language in order to record its oral history. For this purpose, we have an Formanite undergraduate student who is a Kashmiri speaker. We are going to take his interview. Assalamu alaikum Umar, how are you? Interviewee: I am fine. Interviewer: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? Interviewee: I am Umar from Nav. I am studying in Pakistan in Kashmir. I am studying in Nav, Jospur, Roza. I am studying in FC college. This is my third semester. This is my major department. My major department. Political science is my major. 00:01:00I am studying in Hostel Masjid, Roza. Interviewer: How many languages can you speak? Interviewee: I can speak 4 languages. English, Urdu, Kashmiri and Pahari. Interviewer: Have you ever faced any difficulty in speaking a language? And what impact has it had on your native language? Interviewee: There has been no decrease. decoration? Did you see any changes in the way people speak the language? Do you see any changes in the way they dress? There was no unity in the language. And that is why we are interacting with other people. This is the main reason why we are so popular in this language, because it is the only language spoken by us in our home country. Interviewer: Have you ever done any work related to language documentation? Interviewee: What did you do in your native language? Have you ever done any work related to language documentation? Have you ever done any work related to language documentation? Will you be able to tell us about a meaningful text or a story you are trying to explain?
