Dr. Hamdi Echkaou is an Assistant Professor of Communications Media and PR at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) in Morocco. His work has been published in the Journal of North African Studies and authored number of edited book chapters on the youth movement and cyberspace, online newspapers, and internal migration. He has also collaborated with a number of universities in Germany, United States, and China on field projects that involved both research and teaching. In 2018, Dr. Echkaou earned his first Ph.D. in Humanities from Mohamed V University in Rabat. He studied Cyberspace Discourses of the Youth Movement. This academic year Dr. Echkaou is finalizing his 2nd dissertation in Communications Media and Instructional Technology doctoral program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) where he also was working as a Teaching Associate in the Communications Media Department. Hamdi has taught both graduate and undergraduate students at Mohamed V University in Rabat, IUP and AUI.
